Researchers have uncovered a way to possibly combat chemotherapy-resistant breast cancer…

…by curbing the sugar cravings of breast cancer cells. Past research has shown that cancer cells thrive on sugar in the blood. The researchers developed a variety of chemicals called cyclic peptide inhibitors that are able to block the “sweet-tooth” craving of the cancer cells, possibly leading to new treatments for breast cancer in the years to come.
